Abstract: From Preface: The National Institute of Basic Education has laid great stress on the improvement and correct understanding of the practice of Basic education and as such it was felt necessary to organise a re fresher-course on 'Correlation' , which occupies very important place in Basic education. This was done in the shape of the workshop (from 18th May to 12th June, 1959)t which was attended by 42 participants all of whom were Principals of under-Graduate Basic training institutions or lecturers and teachers dealing with the technique of correlation in their work. The workshop was the first of its kind since it concerned itself with the discussion of the various aspects of the technique of correlation including the problems of implementing the details of the technique in practice.
