Abstract: The National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO) conducted a survey of rural and urban households in the 64th round of NSS during July 2007- June 2008. The subjects covered were (i) participation and expenditure in education (ii) employment –unemployment and migration (iii) consumer expenditure. This report presents the results of the survey on participation in education and private educational expenditure.
