A Picture of Karnataka Budget 1990-91

Abstract

From Preface: The brochure “A Picture of Karnataka Budget, is compiled every year to present the details in the State Budget in an easily understandable form by means of statistical tables. In Part I of the brochure are indicated the salient features of the state Budget for 1990-91 along with the revised estimates for 1989-90 and actuals for previous year. Part II of the brochure aim at presenting the sectoral distribution of the plan expenditure incurred in respect of Annual plan for the past few years and those anticipated plan expenditure for 1989-90 and the plan that emerges out of Budget for 1990-91 as now presented- The development outlays for purpose of this brochure cover tine State Plan, Centrally Sponsored Schemes and Central Plan Scheme a# also the expenditure on Irrigation Projects under Cauvery basin awaiting clearance from Government of India. Part II also indicates the population of Indian State (estimated under mid year population). The actuals for 1988-89 are provisional subject to re-conciliation.
