| Abstract: | From Preface: The demand for adequate and reliable statistics has been ever growing. The Directorate of Economics and Statistics (Statistical Cell) Union Territory, Chandigarh has therefore been compiling and publishing the “Statistical Abstract" annually. The present issue is the 19th in the series. The data covered In this publication is extensive and touches upon almost all socio-economic aspects. Efforts have been made to make it as up-to-date as possible. To enhance the usefulness of the Abstract, some new tables and graphs have been added and improvement has been made on some existing tables. The “Statistical Abstract” presents reliable and comprehensive statistics pertaining to various aspects of the economy of the Union Territory of Chandigarh. |
