| dc.description.abstract | The estimated population of Haryana in 1978 was 116.83 likhs. Of this 16.45 lakhs (14.08%) belonged to age-group 6—11, 9.50 lakhs (8.10%) to age-group 11-14 and 8.81 lakhs (7'.54%) to age-group 14-17 years. Thus the total estimated number of school going children in age-group 6—17 years were 34.76 lakhs (29.75%) in 1978, and out of this, 16.57 lakhs (47.67%) were actually attending the schools. | en_US |
