dc.description.abstract | Education - Under education, programme of enrolment in schools has been going on as per schedule. The target of enrolment in the age-group 5—11 in the first year was achieved, The target for 1986-87 will also be achieved. The Adult Education programme in the State has also made good progress with the target fi ed for 1986-86 having been achieved. The target for 1986-87 will also be achieved. The State Government has taken steps to implement the new education policy with its emphasis on improving the quality of education at all levels and bringing higher education within the reach of all meritorious students. The scheme of opening Navodya school is expected to be implemented in all the districts of the State in a phased manner. | en_US |
