| Abstract: | Improvement of access along with equity and excellence are the important pillars around which the Department’s Strategy is based and a crucial challenge before the Department is to expand the higher education sector in all its modes of delivery to increase the Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) in higher education to 15% by 2011-12, to 21% by 2016-17 and 30% by the year 2020. |
