From Social Services, Education: Arunachal Pradesh is making rapid development in the field of Education. The rate of literacy has been increased from 25.8% in 1981 to 42,59% as per 1991 census. Though there has been a vast expansion of educational facilities, this fast quantitative growth has also created a number of challenges like construction of school buildings, teachers quarters, providing equipments to schools, high rate of dropout, enrolement of working children, particularly girls etc. The aim is, therefore, to orient the programme, in such e way as to achieve the National goal of universalisation of elementary education and side by side going in for tackling the above problems.en_US
