Progress of Education of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes 1964-65

Abstract

From Introduction: This report deals with the progress in the enrolment of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes in India as on 31st March, 1965. It is based on the enrolment data collected, on Census basis, from all State Governments/Union Territories in Form A-1. Collection of data in this form was started from the year 1964-65. The data collected in Form A-I, as also in other forms, relates to recognised institutions only. This study covers all types of educational institutions. The data relating to 1960-61 which has been used in the report to bring out a comparative picture of the two years viz 1964-65 1960-61, wherever possible, has been compiled from Form A of 1960-61.
