| Abstract: | Realising that innovation is the engine for national and global growth, employment, competitiveness and sharing of opportunities in the 21st century, the Government of India has declared 2010-2020 as the ‘Decade of Innovation’. To discuss, analyse and help implement strategies for inclusive innovation in India and prepare a roadmap for innovation in the country, Dr.Manmohan Singh, Hon’blePrime Minister constituted the National Innovation Council (NInC) in September 2010 with members from diverse fields. The Council is chaired by Mr Sam Pitroda, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Public Information Infrastructure and Innovations. |
