| Abstract: | From Publication Profile: In 1982 a High Level Committee was set up by the Government to review Educational Statistics System in India. The Committee inter-alia recommended that the statistics of Non-UGC Courses/Institutions of Higher Education including school classes attached to these institutions of Higher Education would be handled by the Department of Education. However, data relating to Universities and their Affiliated Colleges would be collected by the University Grants Commission w.e.f. 1987-88 onwards. |
