Abstract

From Preface: Education is a process of enlightenment and empowerment through which individuals are able to secure a better quality of life. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights has asserted that “every one has a right to education” irrespective of caste, creed, sex and economic status. Considering its responsibility, the government of Andhra Pradesh realises its paramount duty to guarantee the realisation of this right of the child. Vision 2020 of Andhra Pradesh states “Andhra Pradesh will not be just a literate but a knowledge society capable of meeting the challenges posed by the 21st century”.
