The Government of Andhra Pradesh has been trying to achieve Universahsation of Elementary Education by 2005 with all its efforts. As a part of it, APDPEP proposed to collect the opinions of parents, who are sending and not sending their children to school, and the children who are out of school, to evolve strategies to achieve UEE as proposed. In this back ground, a household schedule with four questionnaires consisting of 27 questions was prepared. Necessary training programmes were organised at the state, district and mandal levels for the teachers and other concerned officers for the collection of data through this schedule.en_US
