Abstract

From Preface: This volume on District Educational Statistics for the State of Manipur is Second in the series of such volumes which v/ill be brought out for all the States and Union Territories. The main aim is to highlight the inter-district variations in a State by giving school level educational data at district levels with the help of some important indices such as enrolment ratio, percentage of trained teachers etc. In order to ascertain whether the educational imbalances have widened or narrowed down with timer the data for the year 1981-22 has been analysed and compared with that for the year 1976-77.
