Education in India Volume II(C) 1987-88 (Non-Affiliated Institutions)

Abstract

From Preface: "Education in India" is an annual publication of the Department of Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development. As per the revised pattern, it is brought out in three volumes: VOl.I(S) containing the numerical data of school education, Vol.1(C) numerical data of collegiate education; Vol.II(S) containing financial data on School Education; and Vol.11(C) the financial data on University and Higher Education; and Volume III examination results of matriculation and higher levels. The present publication Vol.11(C) relates to the year 1987-38. This is the first publication under the revised pattern. It contains financial data on Non - Affiliated Institutions of Higher Education only. Data in respect of affiliated institutions in the field of Higher Education is to be compiled and printed by UGC w.e.f. 1987-88 and onwards. This publication contains all India and statewise Statistical Tables based on the information collected from the States and Union Territories through forms ES~II(C).
