| Abstract: | From Preface: A scheme of "Supply of uniforms to scheduled castes girl students studying in Primary and Middle classes" was introduced in the state during 1976-77 with the object of promoting education among them. Under this scheme, it was envisaged to provide free uniform- costing Rs. 15/- to each of the scheduled castes girls students studying upto the middle level. An evaluation study of this scheme was carried out by the Economic and Statistical Organisation with a view to examining its working and impact and suggesting the necessary correctives which may be applied to improving its functioning. |
