| Abstract: | This study presents an analysis of trends in respect of Indian Students and Trainees who had gone abroad for higher studies during 1987-88. Basic data for the study was collected from the Reserve Bank of India's list of Indian Students/Trainees going to foreign countries for studies/training in different subjects fields and disciplines. The information so collected was processed on Computer to generate the different Statistical tables appearing in the publication. The study has projected the data country-wise Statewise, sex-wise and also gives the analysis of financial assistance received by students/trainees, duration of study etc. We are grateful to the Reserve Bank of India for providing the useful data for this study. |
