dc.description.abstractThe National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions (NCMEI) was established, to begin with, through the promulgation of an Ordinance. The Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Ministry of HRD, Government of India, notified the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions Ordinance 2004 (No. 6 of 2004) on 11th November 2004. Thereafter, on 16th November 2004, the Ministry of HRD issued the notification constituting the Commission, with its head quarters in Delhi.en_US
