Educational Statistics District-wise 1976-77 Volume 6: Goa, Daman and Diu

Abstract

A volume of this nature was first published by the National Council of Educational Research and Training in 1960-61. Thereafter it was decided that such reviews will be brought out in respect of each state every five year by the Ministry of Education and Culture. Accordingly the reviews for the year 1965-66 were brought out by this Ministry. For Making inter-district comparisons possible, some important indices such as enrolment ratios, percentage of trained teachers and per capita expenditure on Education have been worked out. These indices show wide range of variations between the districts and hence the need for-formulating educational plans at the district level.
