| Abstract: | An amount of Rs. 250.00 lakhs was provided to ten universities under the special scheme for upgradation of laboratories and libraries of the universities established between 1966 to 1970. Special grants amounting to Rs. 5060.49 lakhs was paid to seven universities and two colleges of Gujarat State as Earthquake relief to meet the rehabilitation and other damage repair programme. Also an amount of Rs. 172.00 lakhs was paid to 25 colleges of Orissa State as Cyclone Relief. Under the special scheme of Day Care Centres in universities, the UGC released grants to the extent of Rs. 22.00 lakhs to 11 universities. |
