Selected Educational Statistics 2002-03 (as on 30th September, 2002)

Abstract

Selected Educational Statistics is an Annual Publication brought out by the Department of Secondary & Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development. This publication contains statistical data on the important parameters of education at all levels as well as the census data on literacy and demography. The information in respect of school education has been taken from the flash data of 7th All India School Education Survey conducted by the NCERT except data on SCs/STs, which is received from all States/UTs in SES-formats. Complete data or Higher Education has not been received from Assam, Bihar, Chhatisgarh, J&K, M R., Orissa, Maharashtra, U.P. and Uttaranchal. The data gaps in respect of these states have been filled in from the data received from UGC for the year 2002- 2003.
