A Review of The Implementation of Selected Educational Programmes in States (1981-82)

Abstract

The information contained in this report is based on the data supplied by the State Government and Administrations of Union Territories in prescribed proforma (designed in consultation with the Planning Commission) about the Plan provision and Physical Targets in respect of Selected Programmes for the purpose of monitoring the progress of Plan Schemes during 1981-82. The selected Programmes are i) Universalisation of Elementary Education, ii) Adult Education and iii) Vocationalisation at Higher Secondary stage. It has been attempted to prepare State-wise detailed analysis of the progress of the Plan before the commencement of next year Plan discussions. A total picture for the country has not been attempted since information from certain States and Union Territories has not been received.
