The Ministry of Education, Government of India, appointed in August, 1961 a ‘Committee on Correspondence Courses and Evening Colleges’. The Committee submitted its report in two parts, one dealing with ‘correspondence courses’ and the other with ‘evening colleges and evening classes'. The two reports are here printed together. I am happy to say that the Committee’s recommendations described in the reports have been accepted by the Government of India in the Ministry of Education and are under implementation.en_US
