Quality enhancement in teacher education is one of the major assignments before the Council. Towards this, the programme of curriculum development and renewal has since been initiated and as a part thereof, NCTE has developed a competency based and commitment oriented teacher education curriculum focusing on quality and efficiency of teacher education vis-a-vis school education.en_US
