This reform has already been approved by the Board and included in the Resolution on the National Policy on Education. It has also been implemented in Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. It is under implementation in Assam, Maharashtra, Gujarat, West Bengal, Jammu and Kashmir and the Union Territory of Delhi. Other Governments are giving their serious attention to it. A stage has, therefore, been reached when it is possible to carry out the reform in all the States in the course of next few years. What is needed is a vigorous and time-bound programme of implementation.en_US
