District Information System of National Informatics Centre DISNIC Education

Abstract

DISNIC Software Division of National'Informatics Centre has been given the responsibility of Design, Development and Implementation of the District Information System Programme of NIC. During the last one year, the DISNIC group has been able to have meaningful discussions at the District/State/Central Administration levei regarding the information requirements in respect of both macro and micro levels of all the sectors and in particular with the Education Department at the District level. This project document has been prepared keeping into consideration the needs of the concerned department. DISNIC Software has been designed “Generic in Nature” and in a very “user-friendly” manner so as to enable even the administrative officials at the District level to operate the software effectively and efficiently. This project document has been written to help the users in using this system in an efficient way.
