dc.description.abstractThe Kerala State Planning Board conducted a rapid study in various districts to assess the extent of demand for gender equality in the state and to better understand grassroots perceptions on gender equality. The study shows that the elected local body members have significant awareness about gender equality and that there are many efforts at the grassroots level to reduce gender discrimination in the society.en_US
