| Abstract: | In the context of the formulation of Eleventh Five Year Plan (2007-2012), the Government of India decided to set up a working group on “Development of Children”. The working group was set up under the chairmanship of Secretary, Ministry of Women and Child Development. In order to carry out the job assigned to the aforesaid working group on Development of Children, four Thematic sub group (i) ICDS & Nutrition (ii) Early Childhood Education (iii) Child Protection and (iv) Girl Child, were set up by the Ministry of Women & Child Development. |
