Abstract: Planning Commission constituted the Steering Committee on University Education, Open Learning System, Technical and Management Education for formulation of the Ninth Five Year Plan (1997-2002) under the Chairmanship of Dr. D. Swaminadhan, the then Member, Planning Commission vide its Order No. M-12015/1(B)/95-Edn. dated 27th December, 1995. Planning Commission also constituted Working Groups for formulation of Ninth Five Year Plan (1997-2002).
