University Development in India. Basic Facts and Figures. 1969-70

Abstract

Based on the returns received from the various Universities and Colleges in the country a statistical report has heen prepared for the year 1969-70 giving briefly the latest facts and figures pertaining to university education. The data relates largely to the position as on August 15, 1969. Information presented in the report in respect of the three universities viz., Indira Kala Sangit Vishvavidyalaya, Varanaseya Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya and Rabindra Bharati relates only to the University campus, viz., Khairagarh, Varanasi and Calcutta respectively. No information was received from K.S. Darbhanga Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya for 1969-70. In the case o f colleges which did not send statistics for 1969-70, data of the previous year has been used.
