dc.descriptionThis Publication brought out annually.· analyses the Budget provisions made by the States!UTs and the Central Ministries for the development of education in their Budgets as placed before the Legislattrfllff{jfi"Parliament. The present issue gives information in respect of actual expenditure for the year 201 0-JJJ revised estimates of the expenditure for the year 2011-12 and the budget estimates for the year 2012-13. An analysis of the budget documents (Demands for Grants) for the year 2012-13 has also been presented in the document. Total expenditure on education as incurred by the Centre, States and Union Territories have been taken into account. Effort is always made to take precaution against double counting of expenditure because of the whole of actual expenditure, both central grant and State's share, under Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) of Education Department is made by States!UTs and shown as such in their budget documents. The expenditure incurred on Centrally Sponsored Schemes of the department has been included in the Central Budget and has been excluded from the State's Budget.en_US
