Puducherry at a Glance 2016

Abstract

The Directorate of Economics and Statistics is the nodal agency for collection, compilation, and dissemination of statistical data in the Union Territory of Puducherry. The annual publication “Puducherry at a Glance 2016” is being brought out by this Directorate keeping in view of the importance of data needs. Intensive efforts have been made to incorporate the latest and updated information of different socio-economic aspects of Union Territory of Puducherry. The information furnished relates to the financial year or as otherwise stated. It provides an insight of the region-wise information for assessing the inter-regional disparities and socio-economic indicators highlighting the certain developmental trends and progress in various sectors of the Union Territory economy.
