Abstract

The Statistical Abstract of Meghalaya, 2016 is the 7th edition in the series brought by the Directorate of Economics and Statistics, Meghalaya. The Statistical Abstract provides a wide range of data on diverse sectors of the economy of the State such as demography, agriculture, education, health, livestock, forest, power, mining, industry, roads, banking, cooperation, state income, state finance, economic census, etc. Efforts have been made to maintain uniformity with the earlier editions. The data has been presented in time series form, wherever possible, so that it presents the trend and changes taking place in the various sectors over a period of time.
