| Abstract: | The Directorate of Adult Education was established in 1978-79 to implement Adult literacy Programme in the State. In 1988-89, the nomenclature was changed as Directorate of Mass Education. The Directorate is implementing Adult Literacy Programmes through Zilla Saaksharata Samithis and Voluntary Organizations. The Directorate provides the necessary guidance and undertakes state-wide monitoring of the programmes. |
