dc.description.abstractAt present 14 Government Medical Colleges, one Government Dental College, two Physiotherapy colleges and two B.Sc., Nursing Colleges and 21 Schools of Nursing (Diploma) (Thirteen under the control of Director of Medical Education and eight under the control of Director of Medical & Rural Health Services) are run by the Government. A total of 45 Hospitals are functioning under the control of D.M.E. The total bed strength of these Hospitals is 23336. The daily average inpatient and outpatient strength are 22605 and 77019 respectively. The Medical Education is provided in both Government and private institutions in the State.en_US
