dc.description.abstractDemographic data - name, address, gender alongwith Aadhaar number has been recognised as a sensitive data and is a personal Information (PI), under Information Technology (Reasonable security practices and procedures and sensitive personal data or information] Rules, 2011. Based on this position, in W.P. No. 494 of 2012 & connected cases (known as "Aadhaar related matters”) Supreme Court was apprised by the Ld Attorney General for India that no personal data of aadhaar card holder is shared with any other person or Authority by the respondents. This fact has been recorded by Hon'ble Supreme Court in its order dated 11.08.2015.en_US
