Infrastructure Statistics of Assam 2014-15

Abstract

The publication “Infrastructure Statistics of Assam” is the first effort of its kind to depict the true picture of the availability of inputs that are crucial to any productive activity. It may be mentioned here that this publication has been brought under the purview of 13th Finance Commission Grant. The objective of Infrastructure Statistics of Assam is to put together the statistics pertaining to various sectors of infrastructure viz. Transport, Energy, Communication, Irrigation, Storage, and the effort has been made to compile data on major indicators such as accessibility, quality, affordability, and utilisation. Accordingly for each sector and indicator, latest data available with the source agencies has been included in this publication. Attempt has also been made to include graphical representation of data along with data tables to highlight the scenario.
