| Abstract: | Selected Educational Statistics is an Annual Publication brought out by the Department of Secondary & Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development. This publication contains statistics on important parameters of education at all levels as well as census data on literacy and demography. The required information in respect of school education has been received from ail the States/UTs. The complete data on Higher Education has not been received from Bihar, Gujarat, J&K, Jharkhand, Orissa and Uttranchal. The data gaps in respect of these states have been filled in from the data received from UGC for the year 2001-2002. |
