| Abstract: | In this review, the performance of the economy of the State in 1986-87 is covered. Depending on the availability of data, the performance in the different sectors of the economy in 1987-88, is also analysed, The growth in the State Domestic Product (SDP) at constant prices, according to the quick estimate of SDP for 1986-87, has been 4.4 per cent. This rate of growth of State Domestic Product of West Bengal has been higher than the estimated 4.1 per cent rate of growth of the Gross National Product at constant prices for 1986-87. |
