Abstract

This is a Technical Report of the Pilot Evaluation Study of Functional Literacy Project in Lucknow District. The Nontechnical Report of this Study was already published by the Ministry of Education and Social Welfare, Directorate of Adult Education, in April 1971 which aroused considerable interest both among policy-making and implementing bodies as well as among academic people. The present publication describes the research procedures in more detail, gives a more detailed presentation of statistical evidence and a more exhaustive analysis of the data. The Interview Schedule is also attached for the reader’s ready reference.
