Education Reform. Introducing Transparency, Merit and Rationalisation in the Recruitment and Deployment of Elementary Education Teachers.

Abstract

The Education reform in Karnataka began in 1992 which have been backed by strong political commitment and determination at the highest level, making Karnataka a model state in the country with regard to the personnel policy of government elementary school teachers, who number close to two hundred thousand. Recruitment in these seven years alone has been upwards of one lakh twenty thousand.
