Abstract

As always, Delhi University maintained its pace with the rapidly growing knowledge base and, accordingly, the syllabi of various courses have been revised and implemented from academic session 2009-10. In many cases, such revisions have taken place after a substantial period of time. As a major step, from academic session 2009-10, all postgraduate degree courses have been brought under the Semester System. Currently, revision of undergraduate courses is also under way to provide a wider knowledge-background to the students and all efforts are being made to implement the Semester System from 2010-11 for the undergraduate courses also. The following new courses have been introduced from academic session 2009-10: (i) Postgraduate Degree Course in Homoeopathic Medicines (M.D. Homoeopathy), (ii) B.F.A. (Visual Communication), (iii) B.F.A. (Print-Making), (iv) B.F.A. (Art History), (v) M.F.A. (Visual Communication), (vi) M.F.A. (Print-Making), (vii) One year Postgraduate Diploma in Forensic Science, (viii) One Year Postgraduate Intensive Diploma in Korean Language, (ix) One Year Postgraduate Intensive Advanced Diploma in Korean Language and (x) One Year Postgraduate Diploma in Nanotechnology.
